There is a small boutique hotel that is constantly on the radar of Philippine influencers, celebrities, and shoots for magazine companies. It is located in Dasol, a small town located in the western part of Pangasinan. In this town, you will find a new-born gem in the hospitality industry.
Sirom Beach House is a boutique resort located in Tambobong Beach at Dasol, Pangasinan, approximately 5-6 hours from Metro Manila.
They only have seven rooms but only five rooms are available right now due to COVID-19 restrictions. They have two private bungalows that will be opening soon for travelers who want absolute privacy.
They have a huge 40 sqm that is 2-5 ft. deep swimming pool facing the ocean and they boast it as the first in their area.
Partnered with bamboo lounge beds with dreamy white curtains, you will definitely want to stay in this area until the mosquito hour arrived.
We booked their Suite 1 which is located on the second floor. It has a 35-square meter ensuite room that overlooks the sea and pool. They advertise it with a queen bed with an orthopedic mattress and a trundle bed. It can easily accommodate 3 people and you can add an additional guest for a maximum of 4 person occupancy.
Their trundle bed, which is where I slept, has a window beside it and in front of it that offers an amazing view of the pool and the ocean. It has a pullout where you can request beddings for an additional person.
Their interior design is very much chic and supports local products and materials like bamboo, coconut wood, cogon, and even seashells.
Outside this window is a shared balcony with Suite 2 and two bunk bedrooms where you can view the infinity pool and the ocean. You can also find two huge chairs for you to lounge in, read a book or just enjoy the sea breeze.
This is also a perfect spot to view a beautiful sunrise.
They opened to the public in April of 2018 and after more than a year of braving the tough competition in the hospitality industry, 2020 came and plummet the sales of all the hospitality industry. But Sirom Beach House persevere. When the time came that the government is allowing hotels and resorts to operate with safety protocols, Sirom Beach House aggressively promote on social media. With views like this, you will definitely get a line of customers wanting to book a room!
They have an in-house restaurant called Anagan Restaurant which serves an All Day Breakfast, American and Continental Breakfast, and Filipino dishes. One of my favorites is the frozen fruit shakes which is whatever fruit that is in season. In my case, I got the watermelon. And it is so refreshing!
Their dining area is located beside the pool and their tableware will make you feel like royalty dining with the sound of water lapping on the beach. Absolutely relaxing!
Owned by two Filipino brothers, they said that "Sirom Beach House features were inspired by Bali and Tulum Mexico’s breezy beach house architecture. The entire place has a bohemian vibe, a signature characteristic of beachfront resorts. Sirom wasn’t meant to be formal and modern like hotels, it was meant to be cozy without sacrificing luxury."
One important thing to take note of before you go on booking their rooms is that at the time we were there, they don't have an Internet connection. Better check with them first if they now have Internet but I heard that the owners preferred it with no Internet connection because it lets their guests disconnect and truly relax.
“Sirom is a boutique property with a heart,” says one of the brothers when asked about what makes the beach house a cut above the rest. On top of that, the Baraan brothers themselves are often around to welcome guests and provide everything they need. It isn’t just a business, it’s an experience.
I can remember on our last day on the resort when we were having dinner by the beach, there were about 3 guests that day, including us, and they personally greeted each of us and ask how is our stay. They didn't just chatted and ask us about our experience. They really converse with us and get to know us better.
Lastly, before you travel, always do research on the travel requirements of your destination. To know more about the protocols and requirements of Sirom Beach House, check out their social media platforms where they are actively posting any updates regarding travel requirements. You can also book through any of their social media or directly on their website.

Currently, booking a room in their 7 room resort means waiting in line for a vacant date and hoping that they will have available rooms on your preferred date.
